About this issue

This 2026 Isle of Man stamp issue honours the remarkable
life and legacy of Trevor J. Hemmings CVO (1935–2021), a former Manx resident and one of the most celebrated racehorse owners of his generation. The six stamps capture iconic moments and horses from Trevor’s career, from his early encounters with Sir Fred Pontin to his historic Grand National victories with
Hedgehunter, Ballabriggs and Many Clouds, and his final Cheltenham Festival win with Vintage Clouds.

Each design highlights Trevor’s passion for horse racing,
breeding and support for young trainers, celebrating his contribution to British and Irish equestrian heritage. Special attention is given to his Olympic involvement with High Kingdom, winning silver with Zara Phillips and the GB team in 2012, as well as successes across major horse races that included the Scottish Grand National, Midlands Grand National as well as his three Grand National wins at Aintree

This issue is perfect for collectors, racing enthusiasts and fans of Manx heritage. The stamps offer a fitting tribute to Trevor Hemmings’ extraordinary career, showcasing his enduring impact on horse racing.
